Some author's note:

This cd was recorded after many years spent working in the musical field, it was the product of a continuous renewal and of a dayly experimentation. In Lido Aurora there's my soul, there's the story of my growing up into this city that so strongly conditions people with its crisis and its rebirths, its sufference and its joy.

In this work I've tryed to make clear the emotions my city still gives me and I have used the great heritage of this land: its way of making music and its dialect.

The songs were performed by an acoustic quartet (piano, double-bass, drum and sax). I attempted to combine the southern sunny melody and the tragic sounds of argentinian tango plus the mediterranean pop tradition

Finally some news:

there's a family get-together in the song "Femmena Mimosa"! My brother Rino plays the double-bass and my sister Francesca sings.

The song "Sbarcando dall'altra parte del mondo" dedicated to Troisi was live recorded and I decided not to record it in a studio so that it could keep the emotion of that night.
