He was born in Rome where he graduated in double-bass and harmony at “Santa Cecilia”Conservatory.
He was thaught by his father, skilled guitarist of 30s, then he perfected himself with the methods “Aguado” and “Sor”.
He started doing concerts when he was twelve and played all over the world, from America to Australia, having a remarkable success during two tournées in Japan from 1980 to 1985. In 1954 he was the first artist to performe the concert of Argentarola, for guitar and orchestra by Ennio Porrino at National Academy of Santa Cecilia. He was also the first performer, nowaday, of the concert for guitar and bow Op. 30 by Mauro Giuliani.
In 1972 he performed the Ode Super Crysea Phormis do Roman Vlad at festival of Donaueschingen and at Filarmonica of Berlin for the first time.
He was dedicated works for guitar by famous composers like: Franco Margola, Nino Rota, Roma Vlad, Jacopo Napoli, Ennio Morricone and Goffredo Petrassi.
He thaught Guitar at Conservatories of Neaples and Rome.
He recorded for labels like: Cetra, R.C.A. Victor, Polosud (Teatro nella canzone napoletana) and more.
He took part to the Synphonic Orchestra of R.A.I. of Rome. He has recently played for Radio France and has done concerts in Edimburgh, Amburgo, Francoforte, Italy.
